The town of Neepawa is located along the Yellowhead Highway #16 in the Province’s Westman Region. The community of approximately 3325 residents is located 45 minutes northeast of Brandon, and northwest of Winnipeg.
As an economic hub serving a business region of some 13,000 plus people, Neepawa’s primary economic driver is the agricultural industry which is so prevalent within the surrounding municipalities. The largest single non-governmental employers in the area are the Springhill Farms pork processing facility (350+ employees) and Prairie Forest Products lumber treating facility (100+ employees).
Neepawa has always been an entrepreneurial town, and has an incredible array of retail, hospitality, and professional services to offer. It’s location at the intersection of the number 16 and number 5 highways, makes Neepawa a very important transportation hub as well. Every year hundreds of thousands of vehicles pass through town, stopping by to eat in our restaurants, sleep in our hotels, or camp out at the local RV park.
As the title holder of “World Lily Capital”, and as former home and burial place of famous author Margaret Laurence, Neepawa enjoys visits from thousands of worldly travelers ever year.
